Following are the essential
1) A place to store the recorded mp3 files.You can record mp3 files in the laptop's sound recorder.
2) Create an account in Dropbox, the place where the recordings would be stored. Store them in the public folder and copy the link to that particular post.
3) Paste that link in the place where "MP3_URL" is given in the HTML code that's given in the blog here : http://www.labnol.org/internet/design/html-embed-mp3-songs-podcasts-music-in-blogs-websites/2232/
I am following the first step there. And you have to paste that HTML code below your post. And then it's done!
Thanks so much, Trinath. I must try it out. But the problem is that the sound recorder on the computer only records for one minute at a time. And the output is a wav file. Does the file have to be mp3?

The player that I am using plays only MP3 files. Try the recorder given at this site : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ . The file has to be MP3 and should be stored in some space like Dropbox . More specifically, the file has to be uploaded in the "public" folder there.
Did all that :) But the draft refuses to be saved due to "form errors". Sigh. Troubleshooting that now. Any suggestions? Got dropbox, public folder, mp3 url, all that. Only when I embedded with the post this problem arose.
